Controller

What data we process and why

Booking: name, email address, phone number, stay dates and your message — to process your booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of contract).

Guest registration (Meldeschein): name, date of birth, nationality and ID number of all guests — due to a legal obligation under Tyrolean registration law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). This data is transmitted to the municipality / Tourismusverband PillerseeTal (via the feratel registration system).

Tourism tax (Aufenthaltsabgabe): calculated and collected under the Tyrolean tourism-tax act (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Payment: payment data is processed directly by our payment provider Stripe; we never receive or store full card details (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Recipients and processors

We use the following service providers: Beds24 (booking management/channel manager), Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (payment processing), feratel/Tourismusverband PillerseeTal (statutory guest registration and guest card), Google Ireland Limited (web analytics, only with consent), an email delivery provider and our hosting provider. Data-processing agreements per Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all processors.

Retention

We retain booking and payment data in line with statutory tax and commercial retention duties (in particular § 132 BAO: 7 years). Registration data is stored for the periods required by registration law and deleted afterwards.

Cookies

Technically necessary cookies (e.g. language preference and cookies set by our payment provider Stripe for fraud prevention during checkout) are used without separate consent. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only with your explicit consent via our cookie banner. Without consent, no analytics cookies are used.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable a statistical analysis of website usage (e.g. pages viewed, time on page, approximate origin). Your IP address is truncated and not stored permanently.

Processing takes place solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give via our cookie banner and can withdraw at any time with effect for the future — for example by deleting this website's cookies in your browser. Data may be transferred to Google servers in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
